The AI assistant works with a pose estimation demo powered by YOLOv8n, showcasing its ability to understand and respond to human gestures, and the inference time could reach 25 fps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Robotic Hand demo:&nbsp;This demo shows a system that utilizes the STM32N6 MCU to run a gesture recognition model through the N6\u2019s built-in neural processing unit (NPU), coupled with the VD66GY high-sensitivity color image sensor, to achieve gesture recognition. The STM32MP257 PLC demonstration board then converts the data format of the 21 identified key point data, allowing the motion of the 15 servo motors in the dexterous hand to be controlled for real-time gesture tracking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Smart Presence\/Gesture Control:\u00a0The demo detects human presence and reacts to hand control behavior to wake-up and respond-to instructions. It is powered by the VL53L8CX 8\u00d78 multizone, ToF ranging sensor, which enhances performance under ambient-light conditions with reduced power consumption.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ST ISPU with Sliding Discrete Fourier Transform:\u00a0The ISPU (Intelligent Sensor Processing Unit) is ST\u2019s latest edge-computing core. DSP code developed by the application can be ported into the ISPU and runs in an IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit). FT (Fourier Transform) is one of the essential functions for condition monitoring in today\u2019s AI enabled Industrial applications. SDFT (Sliding Discrete Fourier Transform) is loaded into this AI core to demonstrate the capability of the ISPU.\u200b<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Biosensors:&nbsp;An accelerometer embeds a vAFE (vertical analog front-end) and an AI core with Machine Learning and Finite State Machine. It is able to detect biopotentials by means of the external electrodes connected to the device to provide the data for ENG, ECG, EEG, Heart-Rate and Motion-Detection applications.\u200b<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Wireless Connectivity Solutions<\/strong><br>ST60 Wireless Data Transfer:\u00a0The ST60A2 is an RF millimeter-wave transceiver operating in the 60 GHz VBand. It provides a very power-efficient and high data-rate wireless link enabling freedom from physical cables and connectors for short-range (a few cm) point-to-point communications, using a variety of external antennas (such as patch antennas designed on a PCB or highly directive SMT horn antennas allowing both end-fire and broadside radiation patterns).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ki Cordless Kitchen:&nbsp;The demo showcases the newly designed ST Ki power transmitter combined with ST\u2019s NFC devices. Ki Cordless Kitchen is a new standard developed by the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC), to replace power cords in traditional kitchen appliances (e.g., mixer, toaster, rice cooker, coffee maker) and integrate them with induction cooktops. The ST power transmitter is combined with both \u201cstatic\u201d and \u201cdynamic\u201d appliances to demonstrate different modes and power control. It uses ST\u2019s IH-series IGBTs for efficient power management and an STM32G4 MCU for precise control and seamless operation. While ST\u2019s integrated NFC technology enables effortless connectivity, a secure cooking environment is ensured by STSAFE technology to safeguard user data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Automotive solutions<\/strong><br>The e-2 wheeler demo has been built by ST and EDOM, an esteemed distribution partner of ST. The demo showcases 4 key solutions including battery-management system, smart compact battery charger, energy-efficient traction inverter, and an NFC keyless system solution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>OMRON robot demonstration<\/strong><br>Leveraging Industry 4.0 to advance manufacturing capabilities, ST deployed robotic solutions in its manufacturing facility in Ang Mo Kio, Singapore to automate wafer cassette handling, previously a strenuous manual process. These robots now operate 22 different machines efficiently 24\/7, leading to a productivity gain of 10%. This also freed up additional resources among workers, who were then trained in higher-value skillsets benign to their career progression.\u00a0Through a structured Career Development Plan (CDP), operators and technicians are advancing to higher technical roles, with over 100 employees benefiting from this initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Onsite robotics experience<\/strong><br>ST will be organizing hands-on robotics sessions onsite on May 22, targeting 12-18 year olds. The aim is to engage and interest them in STEM and robotics applications in their formative years. These workshops are conducted in small-sized groups for greater engagement and effectiveness.
